According to Quran we have 3 stages of transformations in the journey towards allegiance with Allah:


Stage 1: Allegiance to gang (Seeking to belong - Identity based on affiliation to a group or ideology. Stick to forefathers footprints blindly.

Stage 2: Allegiance to Ethnic culture (Revolt and Rejection to gang mentality - affiliation to different label such as atheism, extremism and any association to un-islamic creed or passive Islam or social islam etc. Attached to specific personality or staying at superficial interpretations of Islam. They think they are the only people possess the truth.

Step 3 (final): Allegiance to Allah (Allegiance to authentic Scripture and Rassol- without any intermediary. Admitting mistake and works to correct. They show the sign of maturity , common sense and growth. They will be upon true Tawheed as taught by Rasool Allah (SAW)

 Surah Al-Isra Ayat 85 : Wa yas’aloonaka ‘anirrooh; qulir roohu min amri rabbee wa maaa ooteetum minal ‘ilmi illaa qaleelaa Sahih International And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul.  One of the learned Islamic scholar Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah said: Three things are lies 1: tafseer (commentary of the Quran written with fake stories and wrong interpretations ) 2: Seerah  (also called al-maghazi- written with fake stories and history made as life of Rasool Allah SAW and his companions) 3.
