What is Al-Faqr from Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)?
Al-Faqr comes from needs and necessity (This is not to be staying as poor or abandoning material life, instead looking solution to fulfill material needs of mankind in this material world). In the Socratic dialogue 'Republic', Plato famously wrote: “our need will be the real creator”, which was moulded over time into the English proverb 'Necessity is the mother of invention". In simple words, what'necessity is the mother of invention means is that when people have a problem, they will always have to be creative and think outside of the box to find a solution for the problem. It is in this way that all inventions have come about, through the necessity for an object to make life easier.
As Our Prophet (pbuh) declares:
اَلْفَقْرُ فَخْرِیْ وَالْفَقْرُ مِنِّی فَافْتَخِرُّ بِہٖ عَلیٰ سَائِرِ الْاَنْبِیَآ ئِ وَالْمُرْسَلِیْنَ
Meaning: Faqr is my pride and Faqr is from me. Faqr is the reason for my superiority over all the prophets and messengers. (Ain-ul-Faqr)
In another Hadith the Holy Prophet said:
“Faqr is the most precious gift of Allah for a true believer in this world”.
Moreover, he (pbuh) said:
اَلْفَقْرُ عِزٌ لِاَھۡلِہٖ
Meaning: Faqr earns respect for those who are worthy of it.
He (pbuh) said:
Meaning: Faqr is one of the treasures of Allah.
Meaning: Allah is Munificent(Generously rich to fulfil necessities of mankind) and you are all needy (Mankind to work innovatively to fulfill needs by using resource provided by Allah). Quran (Surah Mohammad-verse 38)
Al-Faqr of today (That is to abandon the material needs and staying poor) is termed as disgrace for mankind. It is not on the footsteps of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). There is a Hadith of Prophet Mohammad asking Allah to protect from such erroneous al-faqr:
نَعُوۡذُ باِ للّٰہِ مِنۡ فَقۡرِ الۡمُکِبّ
Meaning: I seek refuge of Allah from al-Faqr that brings disgrace.

[8:19 PM, 3/22/2023] Mubeen Hp: What Quran referring in Surah 95? At-Teen (The Fig) :
Verse (1-3) (O Rasool The clash between good and evil that you are facing today is not something new. Similar situations have arisen from the beginning of time and will continue to do so. Whenever a divine revolutionary voice was raised, the forces of selfish interests, despotic rulers, capitalists and priests always opposed it. Hence, history bears testimony that) When this Proclamation/revolutioon of dawat of Allah started they all met similar opposition/confronted;
- By Noah from the Mount of Teen (At-Teen)
- By Eisa from the Mount/Valley of Olive (Az-zaitoon)
- By Mosa from the Mount of Sinai (At-Toor)
- By Abraham from the the Valley of Makkah (balad al ameen)
Now, when you are undertaking this mission from the city of Makkah (the city which is to become the center of peace and security - 2:126), it is facing similar opposition.
